PJ Pocket / Pyjama Pocket Fluorite Specimen – Diana Maria Mine, Weardale

A beautiful flat fluorite specimen from the PJ Pocket, also known as the Pyjama Pocket, at the famous Diana Maria Mine in Frosterley, Weardale, County Durham.

Unlike the smaller raw fluorite pieces, this is a more displayable specimen, with a lovely natural bed of green fluorite cubes sitting across the matrix. The piece has a rich green colour, with areas of translucency, darker internal zoning and stepped cubic growth that catches the light beautifully. Its layered crystal formation gives it a striking look while still keeping the raw, natural character that makes UK fluorite so collectable.

This fluorite specimen sits fairly flat, making it ideal for displaying in a cabinet, on a shelf, altar, desk, geology display or crystal collection. The green fluorite has a classic Weardale feel, with natural texture, small crystal clusters and mineral markings across the surface.

Fluorite is often associated with clarity, focus, energetic cleansing and mental organisation. Many people choose it for study spaces, meditation areas, crystal displays, spiritual work or simply for its natural mineral beauty.

A lovely piece for fluorite collectors, UK mineral lovers, geology enthusiasts, or anyone wanting a special display specimen directly from the Diana Maria Mine.
